It saddens me to think about how long I was grossly negligent to this wonderful blog of ours. As time passed, I started fearing that not any random post would suffice for such an extended period of silence. That eventually backfired on me because it made me think that my next post had to be "special" to justify my absence.
NO MORE!
I think even a short and sweet post is better than nothing at all! I'm still out there, finding and obsessing over all things vintage, so why shouldn't I continue to post even these little slices of life? The truth is we are all crazy busy with everything we have wrapped up in our lives, but we still share this very lovely appreciation for the design and artistry of a long gone era and I suspect we are all individually adding to our collections and coming across beautiful items. I think of you Desi, Jeneah and Carlos every time I'm out there trolling for my next obsession!
Cute little tea set:
This set has a neat art deco design in my opinion. Those handles especially remind me of the art deco period. It's stamped Apollo Sheffield nickel silver on the bottom. I'm worried about some tiny little rusted spots that I might not be able to clean up and also I always worry that I can't actually use this kind of stuff for serving coffee, tea or milk anymore, but over-all I'm really loving it! I did the customary ebay search and Apollo Sheffield was widely available on there. I'll try cleaning/polishing and I'll post another pic soon. Also, I LOVE monogrammed antiques! XO
